ABSTRACT

What do you see under trenches of flesh? What do you see? In this work of art I incorporated layers of oil paint over works of figurative paintings I have done in the past. Every layer removes the literal meaning and introduces the way colours connect— just like the flesh of two bodies in a moment of intimacy. I wanted to express the feelings of the colours instead of the literal image, removing layer after layer until the right feeling is evoked.
